Franklin Egbe is a seasoned technology leader and policy strategist with a dynamic career bridging global finance, public policy, and the energy transition. He currently leads Saudi Equities Trading Technologies at Credit Suisse Saudi Arabia, where he drives innovation in financial platforms within complex regulatory environments. Previously, he served as an Economic Policy Officer at UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Africa, assessing the impact of macroeconomic policies across Sub Saharan nations. His professional journey spans the UK, US, Middle East, and Africa.

Franklin is a graduate of two elite institutions. He earned a master’s in International Energy Policy and specialized in carbon credits markets at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, studying under leading energy and environmental experts. He focused on carbon credits markets, guided by SIPA’s Center on Global Energy Policy, an institution at the forefront of global decarbonization research. Prior to that, he earned his degree from Sciences Po Paris, a renowned incubator for global policy leaders.

Beginning his career at ARM Ltd., Franklin designed embedded microchips—an early demonstration of his ability to bridge the technical and the political. Today, this unique combination positions him as a critical voice in global energy discourse, particularly on emerging carbon markets and sustainable investment frameworks. His cross-sector experience and deep expertise in carbon credits equip him to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s energy future—advancing strategies that align financial innovation with decarbonization, energy access, and climate resilience.
